In this workshop you will receive practical tools for inspiring children to become confident writers. Creating a safe environment and giving students a voice are key to building a writers community. Find different ways to lead your students through the writing process, and learn that editing and feedback can be fun. Get in touch with your author within, and get first hand experience with what it is like to share your own writing with others.

Ellen Rutgers, MEd, has taught writing in the Upper Elementary Montessori Classroom for the past eight years. She draws her inspiration from her part time participation in the Boston Writing Project. She currently teaches at Eagle Peak Montessori School in Walnut Creek and in the summers she teaches the language course for the Montessori Program at St. Mary's College.

Attendance is FREE for all BAMA members, and $35 for non-members (payable upon registration). See our Membership page for information on paying via a check or PayPal.
