Last year we started a paleo-technics (a.k.a. ancestral or wilderness survival skills) program. We also sent our 4th-8th grade students to the MOSAIC Project week-long camp last spring. The MOSAIC social justice, conflict resolution, and character development curriculum is the foundation for our peace education, and the 4th-8th graders will be leading the implementation of it school-wide this coming year. Oak Run also has a well-funded, strong Visual & Performing Arts program and will be starting foreign language (Spanish) enrichment next year.

Urban Montessori Charter School (UMCS) seeks experienced, hard-working, and high-achieving Lead Teachers for our Oakland-based Montessori public charter school. We are currently operating as a TK-7 school and growing into a TK-8 school (over the next two years).

· B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field; an AA may be acceptable depending on the applicant's experience and references
· Several years of classroom experience
